This year’s Heart-Mind conference was centered around the theme of mindfulness and how it helps children thrive. An impressive list of speakers included Kimberly Schonert-Reichl, Adele Diamond, Shawn Anchor, and Goldie Hawn (just to name a few!).
As listed on the Heart-Mind website, Specific topics included:
- How children can effectively manage stress and anxiety
- The many ways that mindfulness can have a positive influence on child development
- Practical applications of mindfulness in education
- The science behind mindfulness
- How parents and educators can prepare for the challenges they face everyday
